ADDITIONAL QUOTES:
CB at the top of their maturity (with this line-up)... i.e. the song "Pete
the ripper" was a really successful attempt to amalgamate the specific
CB sound with influences from stuff that had nothing to do w/ Grindcore... GTB
wasn't satiesfied with his first vocal session for this and forced the studio
engineer to cancel a work of hours for re-starting from zero. The 4 tracks here
are certainly our best effort with Marco Milanesio/Acqualuce after many years
of collaborating with him. Alberto the Crippler found the best sound for his
guitar by having a channel goin' out of the amp and one passing thru the mixer
(as on some older works). This half and half compromise brought us to an excellent
final result where finally the high dose of distortion got some kinda sense.
This same guitar solution didn't work that well on "Misantropo a senso
unico" which came out ways more gloomy and confused, even if better under
some other aspects. The split 7" with WORLD was also the most horror-influenced
CB release. "Pete the ripper" was our tribute to Lucio Fulci and had
lyrics focused on mysoginist psycho-killers as the one appearing in his super-cult
movie "The NY ripper". Other songs were dealing with the anti-humanity
theme getting more and more dear to us yet having a constant approach on '70s
violent cinema/art. There's also a huge commentary in defence of Gore, attacking
a statement Active Minds had published on on a record that came out at those
times. Anyway, it's all here in the lyrics' section, so check it out...
